M/Y Contango is the flagship of the Mochi Craft Dolphin range, the line that took the New England lobster boat profile and rebuilt it to Ferretti Group standards. She is 22.56 metres overall on a 6.82 metre beam, with navy topsides, a gold cove line and teak laid across every outdoor surface. The look is deliberately old fashioned. What is underneath it is not.
She works on three levels. The flybridge carries its own helm, a wet bar with a grill, a dining area and sunpads under a bimini. The main deck holds the salon, the dining area, the galley and a second enclosed helm station, opening aft onto a shaded cockpit. The whole lower deck is given over to the owner and guests.
Below, the joinery is warm timber over teak soles with mosaic tiled bathrooms, closer in feel to a classic Italian motoryacht than to a production flybridge. Six guests take three en-suite staterooms including a full beam master amidships, three crew live in two cabins with their own access, and a ship's office opens off the accommodation corridor. Aft, the transom garage carries a jet ski and a Seabob on launching rails and opens onto a bathing platform that becomes the beach club at anchor.
